Is Zerqon a martingale or grid EA?

No. It opens one position at a time at a fixed size, with a stop-loss attached to the order from the moment it is sent. There is no averaging down, no grid, no recovery trade and no lot progression of any kind.

On Exness MT5 US30 history in the MetaTrader 5 strategy tester, on the "every tick" model generated from M1 bars, over a 2019-01-01 to 2026-08-01 window at 0.1 lots on a $10,000 balance. Exness's US30 tick history begins in August 2021, so the trades effectively span August 2021 to August 2026 — about five years. The published backtest is the part that ends at the 2026-04-01 cutoff; what the same build did after that date is shown separately as the verification window, so the two never share a trade. Every closed trade is published on this page and downloadable as CSV.

Does the backtest include swap?

Yes. Positions held past the daily rollover were charged swap from the broker's history — 86.27 USD in total across the run — and the published profits are net of it. Check your own broker's US30 contract terms, as live swap policies differ.

Why is there no take-profit?

The exit is a trailing stop instead — once a trade is ahead by 0.2615% of the entry price, the stop follows the move at that distance and only tightens. A fixed target would cap every winner at a preset size; the trail lets a four-hour trend run while converting the gain into a floor that cannot be given back.

The win rate is 78% — where is the catch?

In the trade sizes. The tight trail banks many small wins, so when the initial 0.8718% stop is hit the loss is roughly two and a half times the average winner. The record is profitable because the win rate stays well above the level that asymmetry needs, but a losing streak digs a deeper hole than the same streak would on a symmetric system — that is the shape you are accepting.

Why does it trade so rarely?

The signal is a Tenkan/Kijun cross on a closed four-hour bar — there are only six of those bars a day, and the two lines cross a handful of times a month. The record averages about four trades a month, and quiet stretches without a single entry are normal.

Does it trade at particular hours?

No. There is no time or session filter. A qualifying cross on any closed four-hour bar can open a trade, day or night.

Wie Zerqon handelt

A trend-following EA that opens a single position, long or short, when the Ichimoku Tenkan line crosses the Kijun line on US30 H4, protects it with a 0.8718% stop, and exits by trailing the move at 0.2615% of the entry price.

There is no session filter and no time window. Every closed H4 bar of the US Wall Street 30 index CFD is checked around the clock, so the EA behaves the same on any broker's server clock.

A Tenkan/Kijun Cross

On each closed four-hour bar the EA reads two Ichimoku lines — the Tenkan-sen (9) and the Kijun-sen (22). The signal is the moment one closes across the other; the cloud is not part of the rule.

Only these two Ichimoku lines are used. There is no volatility or trend filter in front of them.

An upward cross opens a buy, a downward cross opens a sell — always a single position. A new signal while a position is open is ignored, so the EA never stacks or hedges.

The stop-loss is 0.8718% of the entry price, attached to the order when it is sent. Because it is a percentage, the stop distance in points grew with the index itself as US30 roughly doubled across the test window — no re-tuning.

There is no fixed target. Once the trade is ahead by at least 0.2615% of the entry price, the stop trails at that distance and only moves in the trade's favour. The position closes when price comes back to the trail — or at the initial stop if the move never gets going.

Is Zerqon a martingale or grid EA?: No. It opens one position at a time at a fixed size, with a stop-loss attached to the order from the moment it is sent. There is no averaging down, no grid, no recovery trade and no lot progression of any kind.
How was it tested?: On Exness MT5 US30 history in the MetaTrader 5 strategy tester, on the "every tick" model generated from M1 bars, over a 2019-01-01 to 2026-08-01 window at 0.1 lots on a $10,000 balance. Exness's US30 tick history begins in August 2021, so the trades effectively span August 2021 to August 2026 — about five years. The published backtest is the part that ends at the 2026-04-01 cutoff; what the same build did after that date is shown separately as the verification window, so the two never share a trade. Every closed trade is published on this page and downloadable as CSV.
Does the backtest include swap?: Yes. Positions held past the daily rollover were charged swap from the broker's history — 86.27 USD in total across the run — and the published profits are net of it. Check your own broker's US30 contract terms, as live swap policies differ.
Why is there no take-profit?: The exit is a trailing stop instead — once a trade is ahead by 0.2615% of the entry price, the stop follows the move at that distance and only tightens. A fixed target would cap every winner at a preset size; the trail lets a four-hour trend run while converting the gain into a floor that cannot be given back.
The win rate is 78% — where is the catch?: In the trade sizes. The tight trail banks many small wins, so when the initial 0.8718% stop is hit the loss is roughly two and a half times the average winner. The record is profitable because the win rate stays well above the level that asymmetry needs, but a losing streak digs a deeper hole than the same streak would on a symmetric system — that is the shape you are accepting.
Why does it trade so rarely?: The signal is a Tenkan/Kijun cross on a closed four-hour bar — there are only six of those bars a day, and the two lines cross a handful of times a month. The record averages about four trades a month, and quiet stretches without a single entry are normal.
Does it trade at particular hours?: No. There is no time or session filter. A qualifying cross on any closed four-hour bar can open a trade, day or night.
