Seven legs on the five-minute chart, held to a ceiling of two open positions - the tightest leash in the catalogue.

This one is built to be wrong most of the time. Under a third of its trades win; the profit comes from cutting the losers at 40 or 100 pips and letting the winners run to 300. The ceiling of two positions is what keeps a losing run from compounding.

Five-minute bars, mostly at night

EUR/JPY on M5. Two of the legs only look at the 22:00-01:00 window on the server clock, when the pair is quiet; the rest read the chart around the clock.

Bollinger bands, envelopes, momentum, CCI and a stochastic, each on its own leg with its own filter. They do not consult each other.

A leg enters when its own condition is met and the EA is holding fewer than two positions. At most one entry per five-minute bar per leg.

Stops sit 40 or 100 pips out depending on the leg, and every order carries one from the moment it opens. The ceiling of two open positions is the real risk control here.

Targets run from 40 to 300 pips depending on the leg. Two legs also trail the stop once ahead. The asymmetry between a 100-pip stop and a 300-pip target is what makes a 30% win rate profitable.

คำถามที่พบบ่อย

Is this a martingale or a grid?
No. Every leg sends a fixed lot, holds at most one position, and never adds to a losing trade. There is no averaging down and no grid.
How was it verified?
In the MetaTrader 5 strategy tester on real ticks (Model 4) over 2019-01-01 to 2026-07-01, with a history quality of 100%. The published backtest is the part up to 2026-04-01; what was measured after that is shown separately as the verification window.
Why does it only win a third of its trades?
Because it is built that way. Losers are cut at 40 or 100 pips while winners are allowed to run to 300, so a minority of trades carries the result. The measured record is 30.42% winners with a profit factor of 1.21. Long losing runs are the normal state of this EA, not a fault.
Does the published record include swap?
There is almost none in it, and that was measured rather than assumed: only 9 of the 1,665 deal rows carry a non-zero Swap value, totalling -$9.37. That is a property of the custom symbol the test ran on, which is configured with near-zero EUR/JPY swap. Positions here are held for a median of three days, so on a live account with ordinary swap rates the carry would be real - check your broker.
Why is the position ceiling only 2 when there are 7 legs?
Because raising it was measured and it does not help. At 3 the drawdown went to 31.01% while the profit factor barely moved, so the extra exposure bought nothing. Two is the setting the published record was made at.
