Overview

All MetaTrader 5 Expert Advisors distributed through mt5depot.com are free of charge — the EA library is funded by introducing-broker commissions, not by charging users (see our Affiliate Disclosure). We do not sell Expert Advisors.

The only paid product is a licence for mt5depot Builder, our no-code tool that generates MQL5 source code. It is sold as a one-time purchase: you pay once and keep the licence. This Refund Policy explains when a refund applies to that licence, what is not refundable, and how to request one.

Payments are processed securely by PayPal. mt5depot is the seller of record and handles billing, receipts, and refunds directly. Approved refunds are returned to the original payment method.

This Refund Policy forms part of our Terms of Service. Section 7 of the Terms describes what the paid licence includes, and Section 8 confirms that you own the code you generate.

Immediate Delivery and Your Right of Withdrawal

A Builder licence is activated on your account immediately after payment. At checkout you expressly request immediate access and acknowledge that, once the paid features are activated, you lose any statutory right of withdrawal or cooling-off period for that purchase. This is permitted for digital content supplied with your prior consent under EU and UK consumer law.

If you do not wish to give up that right, do not complete the purchase. The Builder has a free tier that lets you design a strategy and compile it to a ready-to-run file before you decide to buy — use it first to confirm the tool suits you.

We Fix Problems First

Almost every issue with the Builder is an account or configuration issue that we can resolve with you. Before a refund is considered, we will work through the following steps:

• Support. We check your licence status, restore access to the paid features, and help with generating and compiling source code.
• Fix. If the Builder itself is at fault, we correct it and confirm with you that the paid features work as described.

A refund is issued only where we cannot make the paid features work for you.

When a Refund Applies

Within 14 days of purchase, and after the steps above have been attempted, we refund a Builder licence in these cases:

• The paid features never become available on your account, or stop working, and we are unable to restore them.
• The Builder is materially different from its description on the pricing page.
• You were charged in error or charged more than once for the same licence.

Requests made more than 14 days after purchase are outside this policy.

What Is Not Refundable

The Builder generates source code; it does not trade and it does not guarantee any outcome. The following are not grounds for a refund:

• Trading results of an EA you generated. Losses, drawdown, or performance that did not meet your expectations. Automated trading carries risk, and past or backtested performance is not a guarantee of future results (see our Risk Disclosure).
• Change of mind after the paid features have been activated.
• Broker or account conditions that prevent a generated EA from operating as you intended — spreads, commissions, swap, slippage, execution speed, stop level, minimum lot, hedging or FIFO restrictions, or non-standard symbol names.
• Your environment. An unsupported MetaTrader build, an unavailable VPS or terminal, or insufficient historical data when running a generated EA.
• Code you changed. Generated source that you or a third party edited, recompiled, or combined with other code.
• A strategy the Builder cannot express. The available blocks and templates are documented and usable on the free tier before purchase; the paid licence adds the editable source code, not new strategy logic.
• Failure to seek support within the 14-day window, where the issue was resolvable.

Free Products

Every Expert Advisor on mt5depot.com is free to download, and the Builder's free tier is free to use. No payment is taken for either, so no refund applies to them.

How to Request a Refund

To request a refund, contact us via our contact form or by email at contact@mt5depot.com within the 14-day window. Please include:

• Your order or receipt number.
• The email address of your mt5depot account and the address used for the purchase, if they differ.
• A description of the problem — what you were doing in the Builder and what it showed. If the issue involves generated source code, include your MetaTrader build number and any compiler errors.

We aim to respond within 5 business days. If a refund is approved, we process it to your original payment method within 10 business days of approval; the time for the funds to appear then depends on your payment provider.

Chargebacks

If you believe a charge is incorrect, contact us first — most billing issues are resolved the same week. Where a chargeback is raised without contacting us, we will respond to your payment provider with the record of the purchase, including the licence activation timestamp, your use of the paid features, and your checkout consent to immediate access. The paid features may be suspended while a dispute is open; free Expert Advisor downloads and the free tier are not affected.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Refund Policy from time to time. The effective date above will be updated accordingly. The policy in force at the time of your purchase applies to that purchase.
